Hello! My name is Jerseydevilfreak, but I'd much rather refer to as "Jersey." I'm an Traditional/Digital Artist and Animator, with a fondness for the Rock/Metal music genre. Here, I share the work I've created, along with the occasional writing piece, amusing story--And let's not forget-Rants. ^.^
Thanks for visiting my blog, I hope you enjoy! ^^
Aha, yes, you did in fact read the rather menacing Title correctly: The infamous "Stop Online Piracy Act" or better and more popularly known as "SOPA," has chosen that it is time to make a bit of a comeback, and this time it appears stronger and possesses a greater punishment than the first and original version of the Bill. How, you ask? Here, let's review the facts:
- Let's take a common scenario in which I have a sudden burst of inspiration, in creating a piece of Artwork which features a song which I especially admire. I complete piece and choose that it is logical to Submit my diligent work to DeviantART. With the SOPA Bill in action, I could not only end up charged with Copyright-Infringement, but arrested and thrown into Jail- Merely for doing just what I love: Art.
- Pretending that the previous situation did not just happen, I figure that with my abrupt lack of motivation, I would take pleasure in drawing a few select Characters from my favorite Books and Television Shows. In doing this, I draw Firestar from Warriors, Max from Maximum Ride, and Leroy Jethro Gibbs from the hit-T.V Show, NCIS. I once again find it to be rational to Submit my careful work for the eyes of DeviantART to pleasantly witness. Of course, SOPA is once again in action within the scenario, and I once again may be charged for Copyright-Infringement when in reality, my Fan-Artwork did nothing more than to promote the Series.
-We could not forget the previous threats SOPA had in store for us, such as shutting-down Websites such as Google and Bing for dropping Links that may feature Copyrighted Material, or Wikipedia for simply speaking of these "forbidden" words. Many Sites are in danger of this grimy Bill, for example: Bing Services, Google Services, DeviantART, Tumblr, and just about any other Site which allows viewers to have a voice. Rather ridiculous, don't you agree?
Educate yourself on the "original" SOPA:
Sign a Petition to stop the wretched Bill in its tracks "Here!"
C'mon guys, we've stopped this Act multiple times beforehand! Lets do it once more! D:
Recently, I had asked my buddy Emlo to swiftly send me a Letter that I could use to help relief my block in inspiration. I would promptly select a Musician with that beginning Letter, then ask them to select a number between One and however many Albums they had produced. I'd take that Record-number, and request them to once more pick a number between One and however many Songs were featured on that Record. After doing those steps, the final number they choose is the Song that the Drawing in the works shall be based from. Of course, as we all have learned in one way or another, Emlo isn't exactly normal when it comes such inquires, and instead of Replying with a singular Letter, she instead sent me this.:
Dear Jersey,
You are an amazing Artist and an even better friend.
Yes, you did in fact read the Title correctly: HyperCam, popular in Screen-filming and a Program that I was once quite fond of, has shifted into a witless pain that cannot go without ruining the quality of my precious Videos!
Okay, first I believe that an Update is in order, before we can rightly continue in what will conclude as a maddening Rant.: At last, I summoned the courage to visit the official Hyperonics Website and Download HyperCam 2, without even the slightest alert from my dear trusted Sophos, and the overall Installation process appeared to complete rather swiftly and apparently smoothly. Or so I thought.
In an honorable celebration of conquering that ridiculous fear of Downloading Software at any location on the Internet, I figured that I might as well record a Speedpaint of an idea I've held in the corners of my mind for quite some time now, featuring the song "What Goes Around," a cover sung by Alesana. To my dismay, this was not exactly the quality I had hoped for. Here, why don't you take a look for yourself?:
RAA.
RAAA.
RAAAA.
No! This my friend, is not what I call a "valuable" or "quality" Video! HyperFool cannot even capture the Shading to its' fullest, and whenever it does find a trace of the darker shades, they appear as an unattractive grainy texture. This is not acceptable, especially for a Video in "HD."
Let's not forget this special word.: Widescreen. Yes, Widescreen. Why in the world is my Speedpaint in Widescreen!?
Okay, I am completely willing to admit that I've always been irritated with my Videos and the sizing of the cropped Area, but now that I see the effect of this, I can't help but to strongly dislike the Setup. In fact, I could even go as far as saying that I hatethe Widescreen concept. D:
Oh, oh! Oh! That is not all that I managed to dig-up on HyperCam! I have this strange suspicion that HyperCam may ultimately be the cause of that surprise case of unresolvable Adware I had gotten at an earlier date! How can I rightly make such accusations? HyperCam happens to be involved or connected with the Incredibar Toolbar, a Browser Hijacker that is extremely difficult to remove. Un-coincidentally, Incredibar is also associated with CouponDropDown, which is the less than wonderful sponsor behind the wretched Ads.
Might I add, Incredibar can be added to the endless list of Applications Norton did not detect, ranking with "ShopAtHome," "CouponDropDown," "Stij," "Keyloggers" and plenty other vile creations that even I hadn't found for myself. Ooh, we cannot forget what Norton did detect, such as the multiple Trojans, and the infamous Backdoor: Both of which the Software failed to rid my Files of.
Jersey! Stop that! You starting to blame No-
Great work, Norton! You gave me the label of Fear of Computer Viruses, nearly destroyed my entire Computer as a whole system, allowed a Hacker to peer into my Files at whatever time they pleased, and even ruined my stellar Birthday-Streak! D:
Jersey! We're supposed to be talking about HyperC-
Hey, speaking of Birthdays, I do have an announcement which has absolutely nothing to do with HyperCam or this Rant whatsoever, but that is okay! :) Shawn Milke, the Lead-Singer of Alesana has his own Birthday coming up on October 13th, and even though it is quite some time until then, I would like to assure you ahead of time that I will be creating a Drawing in honor of him, moderately due to my idiocy in forgetting Dennis and Shane's Birthday, though as you know, that is an entirely alternate story. ^^U
Jersey! Ffff!
Hah, October 13th, eh? I wonder how it'd be to have Birthday in October, the spookiest Month of the Year, on the 13th, the supposedly unluckiest number, on a Friday, or "Friday the 13th?" Haha, thankfully for him, his Birthday falls two days after that Friday, and lands on Sunday. My Birthday on the other hand, takes place two weeks before Shawn's on Friday the Fourth, in the case any of you happened to wonder. ^.^
Continuing to walk back onto track, the moral of this story is that Programs can get on my nerves rather easily, and I don't exactly favor Norton and its' "cause" of detecting 25 Percent of Viruses, and deleting none of them.
And Shawn Milke's Birthday is on October 13th.
The End.
Wow, I literally had you read that entire, pointless Rant for an unfocused and senseless conclusion. To make this slightly worthwhile, I strongly recommend you watch this Video. I understand that I've shared it with each of you already, but I can't help but to laugh each time I watch it. XD
Okay, before any of you Readers jump to conclusions caused by the rather deceiving Title, I am going to make this clear.: No! No, this will most definitely not become a new Daily Segment featured on the Blog, for multiple reasons, one of them being the fact I am me! Me, as in the uncommitted Artist who can't even stay focused in creating a "Feature Song of The Month," or even Year for that matter! How in any way possible do you Readers expect me to remember and create a daily Post with a selection of my often narrow-minded Genre of Music!? How? Just-Wait, were was I again? Oh yes, the Song itself, heh.
This my friends, is "In Her Tomb By the Sounding Sea," written and preformed by the musical talents of Alesana. It happens to be the Tenth Chapter in the mysterious story of "The Emptiness," and as the rest of the amazing Album is, heavily inspired by the infamous Poet, Edgar Allan Poe.
"In Her Tomb By the Sounding Sea" is not merely an extremely lengthy Title with no meaning to it in the slightest, but is also the last words that Edgar Allan Poe had ever imprinted onto paper, in his final poem, "Annabel." "Annabel" is also the main inspiration behind the Album, for one of the Protagonists in the story is named "Annabel."
I know that you're wondering.: "Jersey, why in the world are you sharing this with us?" Hah, of course I could give you an acceptable answer as of why, but in times' sake, I'd rather merely leave it at: 'Cause I can. Now that we're done with that, I shall sit quietly and wait for your reactions. XD

(Expect I Rant sometime in the future, HyperCam is beginning to get on my nerves. So isn't Auto-Correct, errgh!)
I recently received a Comment from an Anonymous User on my recent, "I Confess" Post, and I have an odd suspicion that this User may be a buddy of mine who rather abruptly Deactivated her amazing DeviantART Account in hope for a new, fresh start. Do I have a reason as of why I am alerting each of you to this news? Ahh, you see, that is the exact opposite of my ultimate goal. By making this Post, I hope to reassure and confirm my wariness, which leaves me a mere Step to complete.:
Creeky, if that was you who conveniently Commented, please leave another Comment here on this Post, though I would prefer you to try the "Name/URL" Feature. (Select "Name/URL"> Enter Name; Example: "Creeky.">Leave URL Blank. ^.^) If you cannot decode the feature, simply select "Anonymous" and add "-Creeky, so I know that it is you I am talking to. If it is not a bother, please attempt to send me an Email as I shared with you, for it is much easier for me to see and respond to you, and whatever news or updates you may bring. ^.^ We all miss you very painstakingly on DeviantART, though we support your choice, especially if you believe it is what's best. ^.^
See you, Creek! :)
Boo! Hah, did I scare you?
No? Heh, moving on from that rather, "awkward situation", I surprisingly enough in fact have a bit of useful information which I unfortunately have to bring, which in turn will end my "streak."
I am virtually positive that many of you may remember that reasonably unforgettable Post I had first shared a number of long, tiring months before, in the midst of May? Yes, the one in which I pranced about merrily, acting as if I were a complete and utter fool, exclaiming left-and-right my pure intellect and awesomeness for remembering the one and only, Adam Gontier's Birthday? Hah, why that was an exciting day if I do say so myself, for I had at last proved you and your logical assumptions wrong! Hah! All wrong! 8D Yes, it is just too bad that such a wonderful streak must end this way.
What does this Post have to do with this supposed "streak," and what am I even muttering about in the first place, you ask? You see, it turns out that a few long weeks back, Dennis Lee's Birthday took place on July 19th, and I of course, was completely oblivious to the entire event. I did smack myself over the situation, though there wasn't too much I could do.: I had other Projects to be completed, and the 19th was far gone by that time.
In a few days following Dennis's Birthday, July 22nd had arrived, and as I casually browsed throughout the Internet without much of a point or motive, I discover news which ruined my entire Birthday-Streak as we know it.: Shane Crump, the Bassist who is addtionaly a member of Alesana had his own Birthday take place Two days following Dennis', on July 21st. What does this all represent, you ask? In a matter of a mere Three Days Grace, I forgot both Dennis and Shane's Birthdays. I'm not just a Loser,: I'm a Double Loser! D:
For those of you who may be pondering: No, I could not have quickly crafted a Speedpaint for Dennis and Shane, then deviously lied to each of you concerning my "exemplary" and "proficient" memory, merely begin the cycle of moronic prancing over again! Why is this? At that very moment, I was trapped within my "Don't Download Software! They're all against you!" Phase, in which I was too fearful to Download Hypercam. Yes, I understand, there is no need to point this out to me.: I can comprehend the fact that I am a complete and utter moron for this idiotic Stage which I am still suffering through, though I cannot control the stupidity behind the situation. It is all tied to my irrational and rather strange Fear of Computer Viruses, which was caused by none other than the unclever and untalented powers of Norton. Ahh, Norton! Let us all give a round of applause for Norton!: The Anti-Antivirus! The Program that brought me into this mess in the first place!
The Program that!- Wait, what is the point I am trying to expressing with this nonsense rambling? Oh, yes.: It's not truly my fault or my occasionally terrible memory that my nonexistent Birthday-Streak has concluded! It's all the fault of Norton!
Ahh, I have no clue of what I just typed, or what relevancy it has to do with the Birthdays of Alesana Members, or this ridiculous streak I once held. In fact, I believe that I just blew my own mind. XD
I have nothing more to add to my mumbling, so I suppose you can stop reading now. XD
-Jersey.
I wonder if any of my Readers have found the Reference to a song by Red hidden in the Title? OUO
How is it that I am just noticing that my Blogger Username is "Jerseydevilfreak," which is entirely diverse compared to my typical "Jerseydevil123."
Wow, I should begin logging on to Blogger more often than I do now. Even a fool would have noticed that variation.- Which explains plenty. XD
